What to Expect at a Luxury Wilderness Lodge in Patagonia

October 7, 2026 · 5 min read

In Patagonia, luxury is less about marble and more about space, silence and people who know the land. Here is what a stay at one of our lodges looks like, day to day.

A small house, not a hotel

Both River House Patagonia and Arroyo Pescado have six private en-suite rooms and host a maximum of twelve guests. With so few people, the team knows every guest by name, plans each day individually and adapts when the weather or the water changes. Either house can be reserved in its entirety for families, friends or private groups.

Rooms

Every room is private and en suite. At Arroyo Pescado, the new lodge sits directly in front of the spring creek and every room looks out across the water and the surrounding landscape. At River House, the bedrooms are quiet and comfortable, and the shared spaces are designed around the river and the time guests spend together.

Food and wine

Stays are full board. Breakfast before heading out, long lunches after a morning outside, and dinners around the table with Argentine wines. The kitchen is built around seasonal produce, local ingredients and Patagonian traditions, including cooking over fire. All beverages offered at the lodge, including an open bar, are part of the stay.

Guides and hosts

Bilingual personal assistance is included throughout the stay. Fishing is guided by experienced local guides, and riding, hiking and other outings are led by people who know the land well. Airport transfers are arranged by the lodge and included in our programs.

Wellness

River House has a gym and a spa with sauna and hot tub, included in every program, with massages available at an additional cost. Yoga and other wellness activities can be arranged at both lodges.

Beyond the water

A stay is not only for anglers. Days can include horseback riding, trekking, mountain biking, kayaking, birdwatching and stargazing, as well as visits connected to the history and culture of the region. See Patagonian estancias for non-anglers.

Not included

  • Fishing licences (USD 45 per angler, per day) and rental equipment (USD 40 per angler, per day)
  • Massages, and yoga or tango lessons on the fishing program
  • Laundry
  • Medical and travel insurance
